Following God’s Call to Northern Nevada

Leaving Redwood Christian and the Bay Area wasn’t easy.

For nearly two decades, our family had the privilege of investing in students, coaches, teachers, and families. Those relationships shaped us in countless ways and became one of the clearest expressions of God’s kindness to us.

On moving day, something happened that captured those years better than any speech ever could.

More than twenty former players, students, coaches, and friends showed up simply to help load our moving truck. They gave up part of their day to carry boxes, move furniture, laugh with us, and help send our family into the next chapter.

As I looked around, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Ministry has never really been about wins and losses, programs, or titles. It is about people. It is about relationships. It is about faithfully investing in others and trusting God with the fruit.

Seeing so many people we had poured into over the years show up to serve us was a reminder that God often reveals the fruit of ministry through relationships that endure.

As we drove east toward Reno, we were not simply changing addresses. We were following God’s call.

Today, our family has the privilege of serving coaches, athletes, schools, churches, and communities throughout Northern Nevada. We are grateful for the years God gave us in the Bay Area, and we are expectant about the work He has placed before us here.

The moving truck has been unpacked, but the real work is just beginning. We are praying that God will use us to serve people faithfully, proclaim the Gospel clearly, and build relationships that point others to Jesus Christ.
